so, paris.

i don't know what to say except this place is incredible.

my room is fairly modest, but it has a sink and a big window with red curtains. there are cracks in the floor and the paint is peeling because it is very old. a lot of american kids live here and we have fun. we met a bunch of engineers from the university of chicago.

i've been basically living on baguettes and cheese and wine. going to bars is weird but fun and there are a million things to do every night. lots of live music, mainly covers of crappy american pop songs from the 90's but since it is attractive french men singing them and playing guitars, it's somehow permissible and even quite enchanting.

i have class at the louvre, i have class at the orsay, i have class at the pompidou center.

i left last night at 10 and didn't get back until 7 tonight.
